WHEN TO SMUDGE:

When moving into a new home. After an argument or fight. When transitioning in work or life. Before or after spiritual ceremonies. At the beginning or end of a workday. To clear negative energy from a hotel room.

HOW TO SMUDGE:

1. Set your intention

Take a breath and decide what you want to clear or welcome in.

2. Light the sage

Let the end catch for a few seconds, then gently blow it out so it smoulders.

3. Let the smoke cleanse

Wave the stick slowly around your space, body, or object. Move with calm, steady passes. Focus on your intention. Imagine the smoke carryinga way what you no longer need.

5. Extinguish safely

Press the sage into a fire-safe bowl, sand or a shell until fully out. Never leave a burning smudge stick unattended.
